Baghdad Head of the Popular Mobilization, Faleh Al-Fayyad, discussed with the new Russian ambassador to Baghdad, Elbrus Kutrashev, the security and political developments in the region.
In a statement, the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received a copy of it, the Popular Mobilization said: “The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in the military fields.”
The Russian ambassador praised the role of the Popular Mobilization and the security forces in fighting ISIS terrorist gangs, stressing his country’s support for Iraqi efforts to combat terrorism.
