Najaf Head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, revealed that Muqtada Al-Sadr called on the leaders of the coordination framework for a “national majority government” and “fighting corruption and holding the corrupt accountable in all governments.”
Al-Mutairi said in his comment that Al-Sadr stressed that if the leaders of the framework wish to enter the government, they must hand over the weapons of the armed factions to the Popular Mobilization and hold the corrupt accountable.
Al-Mutairi emphasized that Muqtada al-Sadr did not go to the house of al-Amiri for the sake of government understandings, but rather to block the pretext for those who say that civil peace may be at risk.
He continued, “His Eminence the Leader, Muqtada al-Sadr, assured the attendees: Civil peace is a red line for everyone.”
He said: His Eminence mentioned that the religious authority in Iraq has not met with politicians for a long time, which indicates its dissatisfaction with the political blocs.
Al-Mutairi explained, “Al-Sadr called on everyone, saying: Let us send a fatherly message, love and apology to the authority and the people, and let us present a government of a national political majority to save Iraq.
