Baghdad Head of the Center for Political Thinking, Ihsan Al-Shammari, confirmed that the political blocs do not think about the state’s achievement as much as they think about their achievement exclusively, especially with regard to the success of the Baghdad Summit for Cooperation and Partnership.
Al-Shammari said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the outcomes of the Baghdad Summit for Cooperation and Partnership are very important and constitute an advanced agreement among large countries and different countries among themselves, especially with regard to support for Iraq and its sovereignty, non-interference in its internal affairs and support for elections, and therefore the conference is a great step, and a very turning point in the vision of these countries to Iraq.”
He explained that the conference supported the equilibrium policy that Iraq followed, and it seems that there is an acceptance of this policy. It is important for the meeting countries to understand that Iraq has a particularity in the issue of standing on one track with all international and regional parties.
He indicated that the outputs supported the political, economic and security aspects in Iraq, and this gives an understanding of the need for joint action, and this is what Iraq seeks, given that everyone must stand with these challenges.
He pointed out that the political blocs do not think about the state’s achievement as much as they think about its achievement exclusively, so we are dealing with traditional political blocs, and they are not interested in the achievements of the state and its institutions and therefore they will view these outcomes as a personal political gain for the Prime Minister and the government, not Iraq, so we are watching indirect targeting operations on top and its outputs.”
He pointed out that the process of commitment to the outcomes of the Baghdad summit depends on the incoming government, and its ability to accumulate positives and achievements, but if the next government is moving towards closing foreign relations and engaging in the policy of axes, it will not invest the outcomes of the summit and apply them correctly.
