Baghdad The Syrian News Agency (SANA) said that several explosions were heard today, Sunday, inside a base of the American forces in Al-Tanf area in the eastern countryside of Homs on the Syrian-Iraqi border.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: Two explosions rocked the 55 area located at the border triangle between Syria, Iraq and Jordan within the Syrian Badia, where Al-Tanf military base of the international coalition is located.

He added, “a coalition helicopter flew this morning over the area, after which a first explosion of medium intensity shook the area, followed by another violent and severe explosion.”

The observatory continued: There has been no information available so far about the nature of the two explosions, whether they were caused by military exercises of the coalition or the launching of missiles from the base, or caused by targeting the base.
