BAGHDAD - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Salim al-Jubouri discussed with Romanian Ambassador to Iraq Jacob Prada bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance prospects for joint cooperation, especially in the economic and investment sides.
"The meeting also discussed the challenges facing the region and the file of combating terrorism and international support for Iraq to counter the threat of extremist organizations," a statement from Jubouri's office said.
Jubouri confirmed "The need to continue international support for Iraq in its war against Daesh organization and the continuation of joint coordination in the fight against terrorism," Jubouri pointed to "the importance of mobilizing efforts to help the displaced and participate in the reconstruction of areas affected by military operations."
For his part, Prada stressed his country's keenness to cooperate with Iraq in various fields, praising the role of Speaker of Parliament in the stability of the country.
