Human Rights Commission: The Prime Minister is required to launch an initiative to cancel the violations that were issued during the curfew

Baghdad Member of the Human Rights Commission, Fadel Al-Gharawi, called for the launch of a humanitarian initiative to cancel the violations that were issued during the curfew, stressing that the establishment of such violations amounted to tens of millions.

In a statement, Al-Gharawi said that “the fines imposed during the curfew by the Traffic Directorate targeted taxi drivers and people with limited income.”

He indicated that many citizens were unable to abide by the security ban imposed because of their urgent need to practice their work in order to obtain a source of livelihood that meets the humanitarian and subsistence needs of their families.

Al-Gharawi called on the Prime Minister and Director of Public Traffic to launch a humanitarian initiative to cancel all the fines that were issued during the curfew, especially as we live during the days of the blessed Eid al-Fitr.
