Hundreds of Al-Fateh Alliance supporters start a sit-in east of Mosul in protest against the election results

Mosul A source in Nineveh Police announced that hundreds of supporters of the Al-Fateh Alliance started a sit-in and cut off the road linking the city of Mosul and Erbil in protest against the election results.

The source told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “hundreds of Al-Fateh supporters set up dozens of tents for a sit-in on one side of Mosul-Erbil Road in Bartella district, east of Mosul, in protest against the results of the recent parliamentary elections.”

The source added, “Al-Fateh supporters threatened to cut off the road and not open it to pedestrians until the re-counting and sorting of some electoral districts.
