Ihsan Al-Shammari: The relationship among the components of the ruling coalition has been greatly affected

The Head of the Center for Political Thinking, Ihsan Al-Shammari, confirmed: “The failure to implement the announced or unannounced demands has greatly affected the level of the relationship among the components of the ruling coalition.”

Al-Shammari said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The interim State Administration Coalition was intended to form the three presidencies specifically, more than it is an alliance that can be built upon in the future, to create a new political approach,” noting: “The alliance was formed on the basis of New agreements, and these agreements began to be affected in a very large way, although the agreement paper did not appear to the public,” noting: “The agreements of political leaders differ from what was included in the government program.”

He explained: “The failure to implement these announced or unannounced demands greatly affected the level of the relationship among the components of the ruling coalition, and therefore Muhammad al-Halbousi is very embarrassed in front of the component audience and the forces allied with him from not implementing the agreements, and he believes that the failure to implement them is weakening his influence and position within the Sunni component.

He pointed out: “The threat to withdraw confidence from Muhammad al-Halbousi by platforms close to the framework is very great pressure messages, and on the other hand, it reflects the directions of his allies from the Coordination Framework in the case of his removal from the presidency of Parliament.”

Al-Shammari stressed that Al-Halbousi has strategic agreements with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and this could put greater pressure on Baghdad if it is activated externally, especially related to the international decisions that were recently issued towards the Kurdistan region.
