Ihsan Al-Shammari to / NINA /: The Sadrist movement and the coordination framework have what qualifies them to withstand in front of the other in the raging political conflict between them

Baghdad Head of the Center for Political Thinking, Ihsan Al-Shammari, confirmed that the Sadrist movement and the coordination framework have what qualifies them to withstand in front of the other in the raging political conflict between them, warning of a popular revolution that will bring down everyone.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): The coordinating framework holds the joints of the authorities and owns a deep state, and also has weapons. On the other hand, the Sadr movement has a mass base that is able to withstand in the face of many sides, and this is likely not to acquiesce from the two sides towards the other, and to the area of concession.

He explained that if the Sadrist movement succeeds in attracting new masses or groups of the Iraqi people and forces from October or other forces, it is likely that the balance will tilt in his favour, noting that the Sadrist movement focuses on the people and in the event that its mass base expands, and its alliance with popular factions, it will likely that he will advance a lot on the framework, and therefore the coordinating framework, when it finds that the Sadrist revolution has turned into a mass revolution, will eventually acquiesce.”

Al-Shammari stressed that the Iraqi people are the only losers from the current political conflict, and at some point the Iraqi people will line up with the popular opposition, and even with opposition forces, given that the conflict is going on between the political leaders and is not concerned with them, and therefore we must bear in our calculations that the Iraqi people will revolt.

He indicated that so far there is no prospect of a political solution between the Sadrist movement and the coordination framework, and therefore if the people revolt in the end, we will move towards changing the political system and moving towards a new political contract, and it is not possible to return to this political class to chart the future path.
