Baghdad First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi confirmed that: Iraq is the leading country in its application of the democratic system in the Middle East, and the international community has to support it.
He said during his meeting today with Canadian Ambassador Ulric Shannon and his accompanying delegation: We have previously called for the importance of Canada’s contribution to the implementation of important projects related to strategic planning, federal administrations, economic and security files, as it is one of the developed countries in these areas.
Al-Kaabi added that: The next stage is among the most dangerous stages that the country is going through, and we must make this pioneering democratic experiment successful throughout the region, which enjoys an international desire to achieve it. And this transformation depends on the level of awareness and belief in this type of government, whether for the individual, the party, the political system as a whole, and even the international community, which is able to make or break the experiment.
He explained that: the more democratic awareness increases, the less violence will gradually decrease, and this will be our next project, which is to create real faith in the principles of democracy and the desire for change for the better, and for the next government to be clear and represented by moderate forces, and that its success will reflect positively on all Iraqis and will also bear the brunt of its failure.
Al-Kaabi called on the international community: to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of democratic concepts throughout the countries of the world, as it is the only regime capable of ending dictatorship, violence and extremism
