Independent politician: No Emergency Govt And No Extension For The Current Govt

Baghdad The independent politician Thaer Munir Al-Zubaidi asserted that: “There is no emergency government on the horizon, nor an extension of the current government.”

He said in a press statement today: “The talk about the emergency government can be accepted if the parliamentary session ends and elections are not held,” indicating that “the current government has been agreed to hold early elections in a safe, stable and without extension of its mandate.”

He explained: “The Independent High Electoral Commission recently announced its readiness to hold the elections on the specified date and under international supervision.” He called on all Iraqis to participate extensively in this national event and through the ballot boxes, in order to change for the better.
