Integrity Commission announces the details of the prison sentence against a former official in the Ministry of Education

Baghdad The Investigation Department of the Federal Integrity Commission reported that a decision was issued in absentia to imprisonment and a fine against the former director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education.

Speaking about the conviction, the Department indicated that the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court had sentenced the former director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education to imprisonment in absentia for a period of ten years, and imposed a fine of ten million dinars on him, on the grounds that he was convicted of receiving an amount of (100,000,000) ) A dinar from one of the companies contracting with the Ministry of Education; In exchange for passing a printing contract for her benefit.

It added that the court, after examining the evidence obtained in this case, found it sufficient and convincing for conviction, so it issued its decision based on the provisions of Resolution (160 / second / 1 of 1983).
