Baghdad Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and working to serve the public interest, and placing the service of citizens at the forefront of the ministry’s work and plans.

A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated that the minister chaired, today, Wednesday, a meeting that included the leaders of the ministry, to discuss the security situation in general and the procedures of the security forces to enhance security and stability in all regions of the country.

The Minister of Interior stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and work to serve the public interest, putting the service of citizens at the forefront of the work and plans of the department of the ministry, strengthening the bridges of relationship between the security man and the citizen, and permanent communication to create a safe atmosphere, stressing at the same time the necessity of evaluating the security and humanitarian work carried out by the Ministry of Interior departments, especially those that have direct contact with citizens.

Al-Ghanimi listened to a brief explanation of the tasks carried out by the security and service agencies by those present at the meeting.
