Baghdad The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization decided today, Friday, to cancel all flights of the Iraqi Airways company, to and from Iran.
Mehr News Agency stated that the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization published a statement, stating that this decision comes against the background of notifying the Iraqi company, more than once, that tickets should not be sold to applicants who did not obtain entry visas to Iraq.
The Iranian Civil Aviation statement confirmed the cancellation of all flights related to Iraqi Airways, to and from Iran, starting today, Friday, corresponding to the seventeenth of September, due to the Iraqi Airways’ failure to comply with the law for issuing visas for travelers.
In its statement, the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization demanded that the Iraqi airline return the value of the tickets sold, and other related fees to their owners, quickly.
In a statement yesterday, Iraqi Airways denied stopping flights to and from Iran via the national carrier, stressing that they are scheduled and continue normally.
