Iran: The Missile Attack On Baghdad Int’l Airport Aims To Destabilize Security And Stability Of Iraq

Baghdad The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the targeting of Baghdad International Airport with missiles, and considered this to be on the path of destabilizing the security and stability of Iraq.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in a press statement: “Such suspicious acts lead to destabilizing security, spreading chaos in Iraq, providing a way for opponents and sedition provokes, and affecting the government’s services to citizens.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the establishment and maintenance of security in Iraq, its progress and development, and the spread of comprehensive security and territorial integrity in Iraq, and supports the Iraqi government’s measures to establish security and stability in the country.”

It is mentioned that a missile attack targeted Baghdad International Airport at dawn yesterday, causing damage to the airport runway and a civilian plane.
