Baghdad Iranian TV announced: The number of victims of the recent protests throughout Iran has risen to 17, half of whom were from the Basij forces and the police, in Kurdistan, Mashhad, Qazvin, Shiraz and Tabriz.

Demonstrations erupted on Monday in Tehran and a number of Iranian cities to protest the killing of the young woman, Mahsa Amini, who died while in detention, and after the “morality police” arrested her during her visit to Tehran, for “wearing the hijab in the wrong way.”
