Baghdad Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jehon Bermov, on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Countries meeting in Belgrade, opportunities to expand relations between the two countries.

A Foreign Ministry statement said that the two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, and stressed the importance of strict adherence to the principles of international law to ensure lasting peace and security.”

The two sides also discussed issues of common interest.
