Iraq and Azerbaijan Strengthen Ties with Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations

Baghdad – In a significant diplomatic move, Iraq and Azerbaijan have formalized their commitment to enhance bilateral relations by signing a memorandum of understanding for political consultations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the memorandum was signed by Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr al-Ulum, the Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, and Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. The signing took place in the presence of Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq, and Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This event was part of the official visit of President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid to Baku, which began on Sunday.

The memorandum represents a step forward in reinforcing the political dialogue and cooperation between Iraq and Azerbaijan, reflecting the growing importance of their relationship on the international stage.
