Baghdad The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Cyprus to exempt holders of diplomatic, service and special passports from entry visas to both countries.
A Ministry statement said, “Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Todolidesin, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they discussed and reviewed regional and international developments and their repercussions on international peace and security. They also touched on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in the political, economic and cultural aspects.
The importance of coordinating positions on issues of common interest raised in international organizations was also stressed, and the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding exempting holders of diplomatic, service and special passports from entry visas to both countries for the purpose of facilitating and exchanging visits between the two countries in a way that serves their common interests
