– The head of the Human Rights Department, Minister Plenipotentiary Ali Hilal, met with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Baghdad Ole Dill.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, they discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of promoting and protecting human rights, and the role of Germany in supporting the Iraqi sectoral authorities in implementing the recommendations submitted to the Iraqi government through the universal periodic review mechanism. They also discussed the positions of the two countries regarding the statements presented within the agenda items of the 47th session of the Human Rights Council.
