Iraq and India Discussing Ways Of Cooperation In The Field Of International Organizations

Baghdad Iraq and India discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of international organizations.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “Abbas Kadhim Obaid, acting head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, met the new Indian Ambassador to Baghdad, Shri Prashant Pise, at the Ministry’s headquarters, on the occasion of assuming his duties in Iraq. During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of international organizations, especially in the United Nations, as well as unite efforts to support initiatives aimed at achieving international peace and security.

During the meeting, topics related to providing mutual support between India and Iraq to obtain membership in international organizations and topics of common interest raised in international organizations were discussed, as well as coordination of positions on many international resolutions.
