Baghdad – Dr. Hiam Al-Yasiri, Iraq's Minister of Communications, met with Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, the Syrian Ambassador to Baghdad, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of communications and information technology.
During the meeting, Al-Yasiri highlighted the Ministry's ongoing efforts to complete projects that are expected to develop the communications sector in Iraq. She emphasized Iraq's keenness to cooperate with Arab countries in this domain, especially in projects related to optical access, transit, and other areas.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, this collaboration aims to advance the communications and technology sector in both nations.
The Syrian Ambassador commended the Minister's role in improving Iraq's communications sector and her decisions aimed at boosting the country's economic state and generating significant financial resources. He expressed Syria's readiness to provide full support to the Iraqi Services Government and the Ministry of Communications, underlining the importance of joint work in these strategic fields.
