Iraq And Syria Stress The Need To Continue Efforts To Restore The Rights Of The Palestinian People

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Faisal Al-Miqdad, stressed the necessity of continuing efforts to restore the rights of the Palestinian people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement, “Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, discussed, today, Wednesday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Faisal Al-Miqdad, on the sidelines of his participation in the emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which was held today in Headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, developments taking place in the occupied Palestinian territories.

During the meeting, Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the need to take a joint Arab position to stop the ongoing violations committed by the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, which were the main reason for the tense situation in the Palestinian territories.

The two ministers stressed the need to adhere to international resolutions that were ignored by the Zionist entity, and to continue regional and international efforts towards restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and establishing their independent state with Holy Quds as its capital.

For his part, the Syrian Foreign Minister praised the statement issued by the Iraqi government regarding the Israeli aggression, which is not a new position on Iraq, which has always stood by the vulnerable peoples.
