Iraq and Tunisia are discussing ways to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields

Baghdad The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nizar Al-Khairallah, met with the Tunisian Ambassador to Iraq, Reda Zguidan, at the ministry’s headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various political, economic and cultural fields, in light of the great potentials of the two countries.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: During the meeting, the internal political developments and the most prominent challenges that the political transition process in Iraq and Tunisia have gone through were discussed.

During the meeting, the Senior Undersecretary stressed Iraq’s keenness to strengthen friendship and strategic cooperation relations with the Republic of Tunisia, pointing out that there are many commonalities and great potentials available to enhance bilateral cooperation, and that there is a need to work together and make more efforts to raise the level of relations between the two countries.

The two sides reviewed the political and security challenges and problems that some countries are witnessing and their repercussions on the Arab region, and the importance of concerted international efforts to confront these challenges
