Iraq calls on Iran to start implementing the agreements related to the border and the Shatt al-Arab gorge

Baghdad The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to start implementing the agreements related to the borders and the Shatt Al-Arab Creek.

“Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said in a statement.

He added, “The Foreign Minister called on his Iranian counterpart, to start the implementation steps of the agreements related to land and sea borders, and dredging the Shatt al-Arab stream.”
