Baghdad Iraq and Poland discussed strengthening relations between the two countries at various levels.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, which the National Iraqi News Agency received a copy of it, stated that the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Muayad Salih, met the Polish Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Defense Sebastian Havalik. “In the meeting, files of common interest were discussed and confirmed the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries at various levels.
The Foreign Undersecretary called for enhancing the prospects for cooperation, which would be reflected in capacity building and support for Iraqi security institutions, praising the logistical and military support provided by Polish advisers to Iraq in its war against the terrorist organization ISIS, and the great experience they possess in the fields of training and military technologies.
Salih expressed Iraq’s position in affirming its unity and sovereignty and refusing to interfere in its internal affairs, indicating that Iraq always seeks peace and good neighborliness instead of relying on the approach of force.
For his part, the Polish official praised the efforts of the Iraqi embassy in facilitating the procedures for the entry of military advisors into Iraq, expressing at the same time his ministry’s willingness to open training courses for Iraqi students in Polish universities and military colleges.
