Baghdad The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the election of Iraq as Vice-President of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, said in a statement, today, Monday: “Iraq was elected Vice-President of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency in its 65th session, which started its work at the Vienna International Center with the actual and virtual presence, and with high-level international participation.”
The statement added, “this benefit in the International Atomic Energy Agency came within the framework of Iraq’s return to its appropriate position in the relevant international conferences and forums.”
