Iraq wins the presidency of the Forum of Ancient Civilizations

BaghdadThe Ministry of Culture announced that Iraq won the presidency of the Forum of Ancient Civilizations.

This came during a virtual meeting that took place today, Thursday, in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Hassan Nadhem.

The first conference to launch the Forum (Ancient Civilizations for a Better Future) was held in the Greek capital in 2017, with the participation of the foreign ministers of Iran, Greece, China, Egypt, Italy, India, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, and Iraq, to demonstrate the world’s need to stand in the face of extremism and terrorism.

The participation of the Foreign Ministers of the ten countries with ancient civilizations is of great importance, based on the great role of these cultures in spreading peace among humans. The population of the countries participating in the conference is about 40% of the world’s total population, and that the ancient civilizations of these countries support the peaceful life of mankind.

It is mentioned that the Forum of Ancient Civilizations aims to preserve the cultural heritage and evoke the commonalities among civilizations.
