Iraqi forces receive ammunition and weapons from the international coalition

Baghdad The International Coalition announced today, Thursday, that it has delivered ammunition and weapons to the Iraqi forces, worth 204,636 dollars, at Ain Al-Asad Air Base.

The Coalition said in a statement that “a force from the 20th Infantry Division in the Ministry of Defense received ammunition and weapons estimated at 204,636 dollars from the coalition forces (Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve).”

It added, “this equipment aims to support Iraq in its mission to defeat ISIS, and it is part of the program of financing the training and equipping fund to combat ISIS that has been implemented since 2014 and is funded through the budget of the Ministry of Defense allocated to Operation Inherent Resolve,” noting that “the program that oversees on its implementation, Operation Inherent Resolve aims to support the Iraqi government in the battle against ISIS.
