Iraq’s Ambassador In Cairo Discusses With The SG Of The Council Of Arab Economic Unity Ways To Activate His Country’s Role Within Framework Of The Council

Baghdad The Ambassador of Iraq in Cairo, its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, discussed with Ambassador Muhammadi Ahmed Al-Nay, Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, ways to activate Iraq’s role within the framework of the Council of Economic Unity, considering it a founding and sponsoring state, and in what can advance the work of the Council, according to a common vision of its members.

The two parties also discussed the importance of the work of the Council of Economic Unity in light of the capabilities of its member states in the fields of agriculture and industry, and their natural wealth, which would advance the work of the Council and qualify it to be one of the important and internationally competitive economic blocs.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity expressed his hope for the continuation of the fruitful cooperation between it and the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States.
