The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri stressed that Iraq is on an important stage requires the mobilization of efforts to complete the elections successfully and transparently, by providing all the requirements that allow the participation of all Iraqis without exception.
Jubouri, said during a meeting with US President's Envoy for International Alliance Affairs Brett McGurk and his accompanying delegation "The other challenge we face is the reconstruction of the areas affected by terrorism, which requires regional and international support for the rehabilitation of our liberated cities to ensure a speedy and safe return to our displaced families who have been subjected to extreme conditions during the past,". Calling on the United States and the international community to contribute in the conference of donors for the reconstruction of Iraq, which will be held soon in Kuwait.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region, ways of boosting bilateral relations, international efforts in combating terrorism, elections and the reconstruction of areas affected by the Daesh terrorist organization.
McGurk confirmed his government's support for Iraq in its fight against terrorism, stressing the need to maintain coordination between the two countries, especially with regard to the security and economic files
