Baghdad The Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party saw the existence of a political decision and the intervention of the President of the Republic and the Head of the Judiciary, with the aim of manipulating the election results in favor of several parties.
A statement by the office today stated that: The process of early elections for the House of Representatives, which took place on October 10, 2021, was fair and democratic until the extension of the appeal period illegally, with a political decision and the intervention of the President of the Republic and the head of the judiciary, with the aim of manipulating the results in favor of several specific parties.
It added: “After our party’s political and technical committee met with the Independent High Electoral Commission and the judiciary, it was found that all the evidence proved the existence of violations,” expressing rejection of this intervention, change and violations.
It continued, “In order to achieve justice and restore rights to their owners, we will continue our efforts by taking legal measures to obtain those rights and lift violations, and we will announce our next step in due course.”
Two days ago, the Electoral Commission announced the final results of the elections that took place on October 10. The Sadrist bloc won 73 seats, the Progress Alliance 37, State of Law 33, the Kurdistan Democratic Party 31, while the Kurdistan Alliance won 17 seats, Al-Fateh coalition 17, winning parties with one seat 16, Azm coalition 14 seats, Al-Jeel Al-Jadeed 9, Extension 9, Ishraqat Kanon 6, Tasmeem 5, Babylon 4, National Contract 4, National State Forces 4, Hasm Movement for Reform 3, Our People’s Alliance is Our Identity 3, and the United Iraq Turkmen Front 1.
While the number of seats for the winning individuals was 43 seats.
