Casablanca - Kenyan Limo Kiprop on Sunday won the 14th Casablanca International Marathon, finishing in 2:13:29.
The Kenyan athlete crossed the finish line ahead of Moroccans Mohamed Talhaoui (2:13:35) and Mountacer Zaghou (2:17:04).
In the women’s category, Kenyan Mukami Waithira came in first place (2:29:46), advancing her compatriot Paskalia Chipkorir (2:31:51) and Ethiopian Gode Chala Jijo (2:37:39).
More than 10,500 athletes from 38 countries participated in this sporting event that offered three major events this year: the 42 km Marathon, the 21 km Half-Marathon and the 10 km Race.
