KIRKUK - Kirkuk Governor, Najimalddin Kareem discussed in the US capital Washington with the envoy of the American President for the International Coalition against Daesh, Brett McGurk, the plan of liberating Al-Hawija, and the efforts to receive, aid and shelter the displaced from areas south and west of Kirkuk and the military victories achieved in the liberation of the city of Mosul.
A statement issued by the media office of the Governor of Kirkuk said that Kareem met during his visit to the US capital, Brett McGurk, and discussed with him the importance of launching Hawija liberation plan after the completion of the liberation operations in Mosul city and the efforts of the international coalition in supporting the Peshmerga forces and targeting Daesh gangs in west and south of Kirkuk through the strikes of the International coalition , which contributes to support stability and the protection of vital facilities.
During the meeting, the governor praised the efforts of the international coalition and its support for the federal security forces and the Peshmerga on all fronts in defeating Daesh.
McGurk blessed the victories in the liberation of Mosul and the plans of the Kirkuk administration to secure the requirements for receiving and assisting the displaced.
