Kirkuk Prepares A Plan To Secure The Electoral Process And Eliminate Terrorism

Kirkuk The Governor of Kirkuk, Rikan Al-Jubouri, announced the preparation of a security plan to secure the polling stations, while revealing the recommendations of the security committee sent by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to prevent violations to eliminate terrorism.

He said in a press statement, there is a plan prepared to secure the polling center throughout the governorate, and the plan was prepared by the leadership of the advanced headquarters and based on the directives of the Supreme Elections Committee.

He explained “the army, the federal police and the local police will protect the areas through three security cordons.”

He added that “the security committee sent by the Prime Minister after the emergency meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security to discuss security breaches in some areas issued a set of recommendations…noting that “these recommendations included implementing openness plans and relying on clan members to support the security forces, cooperate with them and arm them to contribute in the stability of their areas and they will be a supporting force for the security forces in supporting stability efforts, the complete restoration of security and the elimination of terrorism.

He added “these recommendations aim to ensure security and stability in the fight against ISIS remnants in some remote areas that pose a threat to civilians and security forces, explaining “the security forces carried out during the past days qualitative operations for the Counter-Terrorism Service and the Fifth Division of the Federal Police, through which they were able to kill 13 terrorists and destroy some hideouts.
