Baghdad The Ministry of Agriculture in the Kurdistan Regional Government decided to cancel taxes and fees on 4 agricultural crops in the region.
A letter sent by the Minister of Agriculture in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Bekird Talabani, to the Ministry of Finance and Economy, stated that it was decided to cancel taxes and fees on the crops of tomatoes, cucumbers, okra and peppers, starting from the first of next October, in order to control their prices in the markets of the region.
The letter pointed out that the high prices of these materials was due to the end of the harvest season in the region, and this negatively affected the purchasing power of citizens.
