Baquba A free vaccination campaign was launched in Diyala Governorate to immunize livestock from diseases and transitional epidemics.
Director of the veterinary hospital in Diyala, Mahmoud Al-Shamri, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that 27 teams of veterinary clinics started implementing a free vaccination campaign to vaccinate cows, buffaloes and their young against foot-and-mouth disease within a central program prepared by the Veterinary Department, which is implemented in all governorates of Iraq at a rate of two doses per year.
He added that “the campaign includes vaccinating 168,600 cows and 20,000 buffaloes with solid vaccines of international origin against foot-and-mouth disease.”
