Baquba The rate of commercial activity at a border crossing with Iran east of Diyala increased by 10% during the past few days.
Mazen Akram, the acting director of Mandali district told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) today that the trade exchange at Mandali outlet east of Diyala increased by 10%, at a daily rate of 60 to 70 commercial trucks. Indicating that the restrictions of Coronavirus and customs procedures caused a decline in commercial activity at the port during the last period.
He added that the rate of economic exchange at Mandali outlet did not reach the required levels, which led to the deprivation of hundreds of laborers from their sources of livelihood, attributed the reasons for the decline in trade exchange to preventing the entry of goods due to the presence of the local product in the Iraqi markets.
