Baghdad The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received today, Tuesday, a high-level delegation from the Sadrist movement headed by Dr. Nassar Al-Rubaie.

A statement by the regional government stated that during the meeting, they discussed the situation in Iraq and the relations between the Kurdistan region and the federal government, especially the upcoming legislative elections, and the need to pave the way for free and fair elections in a way that guarantees the rights and desires of all parties.

In another aspect of the meeting, they discussed the importance of resolving the outstanding problems between the federal government and the Kurdistan region on the basis of the constitution and respecting the principles of balance and real participation in administration and decision-making within the framework of a federal and democratic Iraq.
