Baghdad The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, discussed with the Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Al-Khafaji, the marketing of agricultural products and crops of the Kurdistan Region in the markets of central and southern Iraq, and vice versa.
A statement by the regional government stated: “The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government received the Minister of Agriculture, and the two parties discussed ways to develop cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture in the Federal Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Region, in addition to the issue of marketing agricultural products and crops between the Kurdistan Region and central and southern Iraq, and vice versa. “.
Barzani discussed with Al-Khafaji the federal government receiving the quantity of wheat from the farmers of the Kurdistan region, which is determined annually by the federal government in Baghdad.
The meeting dealt with the presentation of scientific accreditation certificates for crops and agricultural products in the Kurdistan region.
