Baghdad The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, discussed with Swiss Ambassador Lucas Gasser the general situation in Iraq and efforts to form the new government.
A statement of the Kurdistan Regional Government stated: “Barzani received the Swiss ambassador, and during the meeting, they discussed the general situation in Iraq and efforts to form the new government, as well as discussing ways to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Switzerland.”
The Swiss ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to expand horizons of cooperation and encourage Swiss companies to come to the Kurdistan region.
For his part, Barzani referred, according to the statement, to the reforms carried out by the regional government, especially in diversifying the sources of the economy and revenues, and benefiting from the successful Swiss experience in developing the Kurdistan region at all levels.
