Amara The office of the Maysan Electoral Commission, in cooperation with the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), held today, Monday, the signing event of the electoral code of conduct.

A statement from the office of the commission stated: “The effectiveness of the contract for signing the electoral code of conduct is part of the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission to promote a safe electoral environment that includes reducing intolerance, hatred and violence during the electoral campaign and voting phase.”

It added: “The United Nations representative for the southern region, observers of civil society organizations, satellite channels and local radio stations, as well as the party’s candidates, their authorized persons, and independent candidates participated in signing the code
