“The ongoing meetings between Baghdad and Erbil will end the crisis and strengthen the social cohesion that some are trying to lose with convulsive statements and positions,” said the Head of the Civil Democratic Coalition Mithal al-Alusi.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “the past few years have seen a mutual movement of the parties to end the crisis and reach a final solution that serves all Iraqis without exception.”
Al-Alusi added that “the steps of the federal government and the positive provincial government in this regard are proof of the sincere national desire to end the crisis and not to proceed to results that do not serve Iraqis in general.”
It is noteworthy that ongoing meetings took place during the last period between senior officials in the federal government and others from the Kurdistan Regional Government in order to reach final solutions to a number of outstanding issues.
