Mines And Rocket-Propelled Grenades Lifted In Outskirts Of Border Area, East Of Diyala

Baquba The Directorate of Civil Defense announced that it had removed 73 anti-personnel mines and rocket-propelled grenades, in the border areas east of Diyala.

The directorate stated in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received a copy of it: “The Peace for Humanity Organization, in coordination with the Explosive Control Office, removed war remnants after combing the villages of Al-Salam and Al-Hizam on the outskirts of Qazaniya district on the Iraqi-Iranian border, east of Diyala, after reported by the people.

It added, “The war remnants included (73) anti-personnel mines, rocket-propelled grenades, and 82 mm mortar bombs.
