Ministry of Finance Of The KRG Announces Receiving 200 Billion Dinars From Baghdad

Baghdad  The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region announced today, Sunday, that it has received an amount of 200 billion dinars from Baghdad, indicating that the amount was transferred to the ministry’s account at the Central Bank of Iraq in Erbil.

The ministry stated in a statement, “This evening, Sunday, 7/11/2021, and in accordance with the framework of the implementation of the agreement between the Kurdistan region and Baghdad, the first batch of financial sums from the federal government, amounting to 200 billion dinars, arrived, and put it in the account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region in The Central Bank of Iraq, Erbil Branch.

The Minister of Finance, Ali AbdulAmir Allawi, had announced earlier today the approval to send an amount of 200 billion dinars to the Kurdistan region, which the federal government had previously decided to send.

The Prime Minister Mustafa AlKadhimi had signed an official letter to disburse 200 billion dinars as an advance earmarked to pay the salaries of employees working in the public sector in the Kurdistan region.
