The Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, the destruction of quantities of various drugs seized and stored in the forensic medicine department in the capital, Baghdad.

The Ministry said in a statement, “About 200 kilograms of narcotic substances kept in a fortified room in the forensic medicine department in the capital, Baghdad, were destroyed, which were seized according to legal records.”

The Ministry affirmed, “The destruction of drugs is within the government program and an achievement of the Iraqi government, and it is an important step in the process of eliminating drug consumption.”
