Baghdad MP for the Kurdistan Democratic Party Mayada Al-Najjar said that there is a constitutional violation in excluding Zebari from the presidential race.
She added in a televised statement: “The Federal Court did not mention the paragraphs of Article / 64 / through which Zebari was expelled.
She continued: “When Zebari was nominated, he sent his papers to all concerned departments and they were not rejected.”
She indicated that the presidency of the republic is a Kurdish entitlement, and one party cannot remain for life, adding that changing the political approach now and talking about the majority government happened because of the October revolution.
