Hilla MP for Babylon Governorate, Sadiq Madloul, revealed that there is a serious and real shortage of liquid oxygen in the isolation wards of Hilla hospitals, which may become clear in the coming hours.
Madloul said, “Many of the deaths from corona disease are caused by the patient’s lack of access to resuscitation equipment or oxygen, and the hospitals’ having to rely on private laboratories and on donations from citizens and organizations to meet their oxygen needs.”
He added that if the Ministry of Health did not intervene and send additional quantities to Babylon hospitals, a humanitarian disaster could occur in the coming hours.
