National Security Adviser: Iraq Has A Great National Entitlement To Hold Elections

Baghdad The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, confirmed that Iraq has a great national entitlement represented by holding elections.

The media of the National Security Adviser said in a statement: “Al-Araji met in his office today, Sunday, the French ambassador in Baghdad, Eric Chevalier, and during the meeting, they reviewed the Iraqi-French relations, and ways to develop them in the interest of the two friendly countries and peoples.”

Al-Araji stressed that Iraq is keen on its relations with France, and seeks to develop them in all fields, noting that the recent visit of the French president and his participation in the Baghdad summit confirms the depth of relations between the two countries.

Al-Araji also indicated that Iraq has a great national entitlement represented in holding the elections, and that the government and the commission have completed all the procedures required for the success of the elections, indicating that the change comes through real participation in the elections.

The meeting also touched on the issue of Sinjar and the Al-Hol camp, and ways for the displaced to return to their cities safely.

For his part, the French ambassador expressed his admiration for the management and organization of the millions of crowds that led the Arbaeen pilgrimage to the holy Karbala, expressing his appreciation for the efforts that accompanied this great event.
