Nineveh begins installing high-definition surveillance cameras in all axes of the governorate


Nineveh Governorate has started installing high-definition cameras in all axes of Nineveh Governorate and the central city of Mosul, against the backdrop of repeated attacks on energy transmission towers and internet towers as well.

The Assistant Governor of Nineveh for Planning Affairs, Raad al-Abbasi, told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “the local government started today to install high-quality cameras after obtaining approval to install these cameras for monitoring intersections, bridges and entrances to Mosul and on power transmission towers throughout the province’s axes.”

Al-Abbasi added that “the government allocated the necessary funds to these cameras to prevent any violation targeting the province and the center.
